A testament to Crazy Glue.

Ok for the 16 years I have been in this hobby I have always used Crazy Glue for my tires. Well the other day I spent about $25.00 on Jaco rear foam wheels for my Jato. I used fresh lock nuts and all. Ran the Jato for about 20 minutes and then the hex rounded out which also rounded out the rim on one of the rear wheels. Instead of spending another $25.00 on a new set of wheels I used Crazy Glue to glue the rounded plastic hex to the rounded inside portion of the wheel. I let it sit over night and ran the Jato the next day. Man oh man. That Crazy Glue can hold. I have tried everything to break that bond and it just will not.
Now to my Savage. Sort of the same scenario. I had bought some Hot Bodies wheels for the Savage and after about 6 months one of the lock nuts came loose causing a wheel to fly off which rounded out the inside of the rim. Being that the Savage has aluminum hexes they were fine. Not wanting to spend $50.00 on a new set of Hot Bodies wheels I Crazy Glued the aluminum hex to the wheel and let that sit over night as well. Next day I ran the Savage popping wheelies, jumping, flipping, cart wheeling, and the wheel is holding up just fine.
I am extremely impressed with Crazy Glue. I know when the time comes I will have to get new hexes but man can this stuff hold. Anyone else got some Crazy Glue stories?

that is crazy.....glue.
it makes alot more sense to sacrafice a plastic wheel hex by gluing it to the rim than it does to buy new rims. done the same thing myself.

Yeah, i've done it too.
Also, most people don't realize that crazy glue is the same CA glue that is sold in hobby shops for an arm and a leg.

My crazy glue story is about the time I glued my thumb and finger together (by accident). Then I had to find a way to translate "acetone" because no one around me knew any english.

Krazy glue is great, my friend did that to his left rear wheel at the track. He didn't check if the wheel was tight and it took him forever to get the hex out when he got new wheels. I use locktite.
