Chargetime and Runtime
#3
For example, if a 1/18 car and a 1/8 car uses the same battery, say a 11,1 volt LiPo on 3000 mAh's, you can charge the batteries using equal chargingtime on both with a charger. But the 1/8 car, due to being bigger and heavier, will drain the battery faster than the smaller 1/18 car. It depends also on what charger you have, but if you get a computer charger you can adjust everything you want and charge a battery safely in one hour.
Your question was a little strange in my opinion, i hope i read and understood it right. So; the same chargingtime but different runningtime!

Ok. You will not get the same runtime by using the same battery in an 1/18 car compared to an 1/8 car, unless you are driving very careful and at low speed with the 1/8 car.

I mean if a 1/10 and 1/16 e-revo has different chargetimes with their own batteries but their runtimes are same because of their scale motors and battery size.

I think i maybe starting to understand now. But i still have to answer that the lightest and smallest car has the longest runtime because of it's weight. As for why the chargingtime is longer or shorter between these cars i can not answer, except from that the chargers are different and one puts more into the battery in shorter time than the other one

I'm saying that will the smaller one have a shorter chargetime but same run time as the larger one because of the scale battery and motor size.

Will you take over here, guver? Hehe! I am backing out of this. And to OP; it would make it a bit easier to understand if you put a question mark where it belongs when you are asking a question.

Chargetime is not related to the size of the vehicle the battery goes into, but is based on the size of the battery. Same size and rated battery will require the same chargetime regardless of what it goes into (1/8th, 1/18th). Runtime however will be greatly altered within different size rc's, assuming your using the same battery for both. Runtime is based on many factors: motor, servos, weight, esc, etc......Chargetime is ONLY based on the size of the battery itself, the rate at which it is charged, and how much has been drained from the battery prior to charging.
