Default Upgrades

I was thinking about getting some RPM A arms and shock towers for my traxxas nitro sport. How hard would it be to install these? Keep in mind the only major repair that i've done is replace some clutch shoes and clutch spring, also what are some other good upgrades.

If you have a Nitro Sport exploded diagram near by it wouldn't be too bad.

im not a big fan of aluminum arms (if thats what you are talking about) in a impact all that stress will be transfered to your bulkheads, diff, and chassis.

i would upgrade the towers with aluminum but nothing else. RPM makes good parts.

You don't say anything about it being the front or rear towers and A-arms, but [link=http://traxxas.com/pdfs/4407_explodedviews_front.pdf]here[/link] is a PDF-link to the front, and [link=http://traxxas.com/pdfs/4407_explodedviews_rear.pdf]here[/link] is a link to the rear.

On the front A-arms you remove the 1739-screw and the 2620-pin with E-clips and the 2563-screw for the shock.

Same procedure on the rear exept from the 2639-pin (instead of 2620 on the front) closest to the chassi.

dont be afraid to take the car apart, its just pins, screws and clips.

once you tear it apart a few times it becomes second nature.

It just looks complicated with all those lines and such. Take a look at your car instead and figure it out, it often helps a lot more than looking on a drawing. And good luck! It is always hard to say if a thing is easy to do or not, it is very easy for me to do this but maybe not for you. It was easy even for the first time i did this.

Yeah I guess it will just take some time to do i'm over taking it to the hobbie shop had paying them 30$ to do a crappy job. Last time I took it there because i recked it and the entire right front was messed up. They repaird the Arm and the bent pins but they didn't repair the part that connects both front tires to the actual bodie. They said that It would be fine to run it like that. It works fine until I let of the gas or brake any. I've just been putting it off because I really don't want to do it, but I guess while its in peices I should just go ahead and upgrade it some. Thanks
