Default fail safe question

Just wondering if a standard nitro fail safe that plugs between your reciever and throttle servo will work in a brushless setup. Im new to brushless so maybe someone can shed some light.

Thanks

Stu

It will but it will only cause your car to go off at full throttle in reverse if it trips. Electrics do not need a fail safe, when they lose signal the speed controller defaults to 0% throttle.

Yeah... you will go from full forward throttle, to full reverse throttle. Which could be worse, and horribly funny.

As said, it will go in reverse because in a nitro engine it works by reversing the throttle servos.

not nessiary.

The reason i asked is that i just bought a savage flux and it has a built in fail safe in the standard HPI TF20 E receiver and im not using that control pack. So what happens if you lose radio range?

stops.
The ESC when it stops receiving a signal defaults to 0.
Where in a nitro the servo just stops where it is (which causes run aways) unless the fail safes set to go to reverse.
