Default Long Island, Nassau County Area...

Whats up guys... I'm new to the sport, but Inow have a bout 5 friends with nitro cars/trucks to chill and race with... Were looking for more people and maybe a better area in nassau county to hit up... Right now my little "club" has mostly Jato 3.3's. We have a good potential off road area with jumps being made once it gets a little warmer out... (Meadowbrook Rd. Merrick , NY area)

Let me know if you guys know anything I dont... I heard Mitchell Field is fun, but dirt courses are better ;]

well I'm in Port Jeff Station, not exactly Nassau

I have..
HPI Racing Savage 25, nothing stock left on it, set up for racing
HPI Racing Savage X
HPI Racing MT2 18SS
HPI Racing RS4 3 18SS
HPI Racing 2 Baja 5B's
HPI Racing Baja 5T

You have any good bashing spots? I have a few sumps, biking trails, and an industrial park I go to.

I work in Nassau once and a while, Willis Hobbies is awesome, so many boats and large 1/5 scale cars. I got my baja 5B there. If you havnt checked them out you should.

I used to race there in the '80's. I was a member of a club called "NYROC". We raced 1/8 scale on road nitro cars in Garden City at Nassau Community College. In the winter we raced 1/12 scale electric indoors on carpeting.
