Good Onroad Tires for Bandit?
What are some good 2.2 onroad tires for a Traxxas Bandit? I was thinking these so I can use the stock rims:prolineracing.com/tires/road-rage-2.2-m2-medium-street-tires/.

RE: Good Onroad Tires for Bandit?
those are more style and looks than actually a good on road tire
they last a long time, and look like road tires, but the actual grip they provide is pretty poor.
you can get just about any of the off road tires, in M3 (soft) compound and they'll do better on road than the "road rage" tires
and if you burn off all the tread on the off road tires, then you'll have soft compound slicks, which will still be better than road rages

holeshots, calibers, inside jobs
they'll all do about the same, it's more about the rubber compound than the tread pattern, pick the one you think puts the most rubber on the ground (one of the reasons the road rages stink is that they're the harder compound)
any of those 3 will probably be similarly good on road IMO

RE: Good Onroad Tires for Bandit?
Sloppy's correct about the Road Rage tires, they wear like champs but the poor traction leaves you wondering, "why the heck did I even bother?" The other problem is that there isn't a decent variety of on-road tires for buggies in the first place. I had Road Rages on my B4 but when it came time to try something new, the fronts were no longer available; only the rears. Now I use the Dirt Hawgs which wear out faster than cheap toilet paper, the traction is marginally better on pavement and driving on hard packed dirt is like driving on ice. If you're doing it for aesthetics, go for the street treads; if you're looking for performance, Isecond Sloppy's advice by using soft compound off-road tires.
