Default Thoughts on used pipe

Looking to add a JP-3 pipe to my buggy. There are a bunch on Ebay, some are used. Any major drawbacks to a used pipe? What could be wrong w/ them? They note a small ding on the bottom, my exhaust has a few dents in it from bashing w/ no drop in performance.

Thanks

Used pipes are fine, as long as there are no huge dents.

As long as it's not full of oil and not dented to hell it won't matter.

No problems with getting a used pipe. I would clean it out with brake clean real good before I used it. When I ran Nitro I would pull the pipe off and clean it after a few tanks and it always ran better afterward. They get gummed up with oil pretty easily.

How do I clean it w/ brake cleaner? Just run it through it? Any specific type of cleaner work better than another?

I'm looking at a JP3, is there a pipe that anyone else could suggest,I'm a basher, no racing. Just looking for a little extra pop, and off ebay they are pretty cheap and seem to help out power throughout all rpm ranges.

just spray the brake cleaner into the end where the pipe attaches to the motor and let it drip out the other end. When it's clear you're done.

Any auto brake cleaner will work. Only costs a couple of dollars.
