Default Newbie help!

Hello! I am a newbie and need help in building a RC car from scratch. Can you please tell me what motors to use and how the car will get its signal? and everything else abt it. I have a budget of 100$ and believe me I can get stuff real cheap in my country. and just telling that I dont have any RC Shops which offer kits around here but i do have mechanical/electrical/hardware stores around here. I want it real fast and at the time good for off road, idont mind spending some good money on the motors (i preer to make it a 4x drive) and for the metal and case and everything I'll manage it. So just tell me what motors I need, radio transmitters or whatever its called nd other stuff. Thanks in advance.

you will need to buy the motor (either electric or nitro),the radio, the servos, barruggggggggg [&:]you know what, it sounds like you are too much of a newbie to even consider attempting to scractch build a car. why don't you do a bit of research first, even purchase a RTR to see how it all works. building a car from scratch is far easier said than done.

Depends on your car, its weight, the gearing...

You can get pretty cheap brushless systems from hobbyking.com.

There's no way we can just say X, Y or Z motor w/o some details.

What kind of motor are you even asking about? Electric, nitro, gas??? What kind of transmission, differential and gearing do you intend to use?

Personally, it doesn't sound to me like you are very familiar with rc either and I think that your $100 budget to build an rc from scratch is very unrealistic especially if you have to get electronics too.

Agree 100% with DaveG55

A motor/ESC alone will cost you around $100 minimum (depends on scale bigger/heavier you go more expensive)

Honestly if you are asking such an open question you definitely don't know anything about RC's, and should go do your homework.

When people built their own RC generally they have in vision of what parts they will try together, how they want them to go together, and work around that. You are asking us to do that for you which will not work at all seeing it will be our idea, how they will go together will be in our head, and you will not be able to accurately construct it. PLUS if you can't find RC's in your own country, and don't want to order one how are you even going to get any of the parts. Also mechanical/electrical/hardware stores will not cut it for what you will need electronically outside of buying a soldering iron, and maybe a few screws.

I love seeing people scratch build, done it myself, and love to encourage it. Don't take this the wrong way but you do not have the slightest clue to what you want to do.
