Using Rit dye (commonly found in grocery stores), it's pretty cheap.

Go to the grocery store and get some RIT dye. Mix about half of it up in a pan with some water, then put on a burner set to low-medium. You want the water/dye mix to be pretty warm, but not warm enough to melt the plastic. Throw the parts in there and let them sit. The longer they sit, the darker the colors will be.

Or just buy a set of black Brama 10b rims. Thats what I did

Also the included tires with the DF-02 are really crappy on cement, and will become slicks quick. I wouldn't other gluing em if I were you. I'm using HB lightning GT10 buggy tires on the brama rims, and they seem to work out great (And I got them for $6 a full set)
I've done the dye thing on rims for some reason they don't take the dye anywhere near as good as the chassis's I did.
