whatever you get, just make sure it is hobby grade. if your wanting something cheap, take a gander at the ECX line. all around $120 US and plenty of upgrades available to keep you interested and having fun for a long time.

read about hobby grade versus toy grade rcs. hobby grade have replacable components, they are also more expensive. there are discussion areas for toy grade cars, but that's generally NOT what people talk about here. anyway, they are all toys i suppose. if you stick with the rc hobby, you will not stay satisfied with a toy grade truck.
