Default Castle Sidewinder Sv2 problem

I got a new nimh battery for my stampede but I continue to get the "low voltage cutoff" warning on my Sidewinder sv2 esc (rapid blinking green/yellow lights). I have the lvc set to auto detect lipos and only cutoff at the recommended lipo cutoff, but I'm not using a lipo therefore there shouldn't be any low voltage cutoff with my nimh. So i disabled the lvc on my esc and it seems to work fine so far. SOMYQUESTIONIS whether something is wrong with my esc or whether I purchased a defective battery?

Noob here, any suggestions and questions welcome.

Also my first run with the new battery it seemed like it wasn't working to its full potential, and it died really quick for a 5000mah battery. I'm gonna be testing it again tonight with the lvc turned off, hopefully I don't fry something....

I have the older Sidewinder, when in nimh mode there is no lvc, you should double check your settings. As for the battery nimh will get better after the first few charges

Thanks for the info. Yeah, everything seems to be working just fine, I think the battery just needed a few charges to reach its full potential.
