Nitro top speed challenge
1. Any nitro engine, purchased modified or DIY as well as exhaust equipment.
2. Any commercially available platform and parts -vehicle weight factored into top speed to eliminate class types.
3. GPS, radar, or some other accurate form of speed measurement.
4. video showing 2 passes, top speed average of both.
vote your way, stake your claim.

RE: Nitro top speed challenge
Thought they tried something similar to this idea a while back than people started getting into arguments what was allowable, and whatnot.
These rules sound way more lax though than the ones last time from what I can recall.

RE: Nitro top speed challenge
I dont want it to be about rules. whatever motor, whatever pipe, whatever car. if i get enough positive response, ill come up with a formula to score cars based on engine size, weight, and MPH. id like for it to stay fun, and let the people who can accomplish something have a little street cred.

RE: Nitro top speed challenge
There really shouldn't be any rules besides the speed measurement requirements (GPS) and a video. You have a nitro powered surface vehicle with at least one drive wheel, see how fast it goes. I don't see a point for classes, this would be a competition for top speed and top speed only...

I dunno.. with thinks like this to a certain extent I prefer at least comparative classes, having tuning skill and setup being more important than who has the most money to put into their car.

Then dont vote in on it. If you like setup and tuning, race at a track. I'm looking to breathe some life back into nitro

RE: Nitro top speed challenge
Here is the one I started several months ago. It never really took off and people were wanting to enter on road cars in an offroad challenge. IMO that should be where the classes should be divided. Onroad nitro and offroad nitro.
