You know you are too much in to this when....
You know you are too much in to "the hobby" when....
- You print out SlayerDude's Mego-Post on how to tune a 2-stroke engine and keep it for bathroom reading.
- You know your UPS deliver person by name.
- It's difficult for you to drive anywhere without thinking to yourself "That looks likea good bashing spot."
- You keep one or more pictures of your vehicles on your phone.
- You spend your time coming up with bits like this and posting it on RC Car-related forms.
Add any more if you got 'em. ;-)

You know you are too much into the hobby when...
You budget RC parts in your paycheck rather than gas for your 1:1 car.
Your RC has it's own "spot" in the house, and if somthing is in that "spot", things get ugly.
You have more upkeep on your RC than you do your 1:1 car.

You're watching "The Pacific" and a guy gets his leg blown off and you're thinking "that pile of rocks in the background looks like fun".

actually I've had virtually nothing delivered RC wise by UPS that I can think of. Maybe my Jammin X1 CR a few years back outside that I can't think of a single thing.
Now my brother on the other hand was getting UPS shipments here on a friggin daily basis, and was annoying me to high hell.
As for driving saying that looks like a good bashing spot I usually say the opposite its more like Why can't I find a good bashing spot.

....you made a car payment late cause you found a deal on a RC that was too good to pass up
...when you rewind a movie or TV show cause it had a hobby grade RC in it and you wanna see if you can ID which model it is.
...when someone mentions the lift kit they put on their real truck, you mention the working winch you put on your scx10.

You spend thousands to move to a new flat with four rooms instead of three, one of which is pretty much an RC garage.

... your wife says she's going to leave you if you don't sell your RC's. 2 months later you are stuck in an empty house with just a TV, couch, and a room full of RC's, and all you can say is "Well, now I have room to work on these things"

You buy an RC Car/Radio/Motor/ESC/ect that you once thought you wouldn't ever buy as you didn't want to get too much into the hobby.
Your on RCU when you should be studying

When the RC in your trunk is worth more than the 1:1 it's in! If my work car broke down, I'd take the gas that's left in it for my 1/5 and leave the 1:1 abandoned!!!

2. Finding your name is the first mentioned in this thread.[X(]
3. Already have that pretty much memorized and don't need a printer to print it for the "back of the can reading".

when you buy a model...for your son....who is only 2 years old. I just know he will love it. And I get to play with it until he's old enough...lol
When you want to buy a $200 video camera....so you can make cool youtube vids of your rc's.
When you can justify spending $50 on a custom bumper for your scx10.
When you can recognize at least 20 RCU names, cause you are on RCU that often.
When you calculate that not eating fast food for 1 month can allow you to buy a new brushless system.
When you talk to your RC's more than you talk to your wife.
When you talk to your wife enough about your RC's that she starts tuning you out....lol. That one really happens to me.
When you quiz your wife on RC terms, just for fun.
When you want to take your rock crawler on your weekend gettaway with the wife. I didnt, but dang there were some nice crawling spots at the beach!

When you don't throw out your old broken or upgraded parts cause "that may come in handy at some point" or just a memorial to how you broke it!
