Hey guys... I still cant get my OFNA MBX PRO .26 started... I have couple questions
1) How do i know which way to turn my idle to fix it, if when i press the brake, the car shuts off
2) When i let my car warm up, and let it drift on idle, I then accelerate with throttle, but then it just shuts down to... And i am changing the mixture but its still shutting off... What could this also being caused from?
3) How do i know when my idle is good? When it doesnt move? or when it drifts slow? or what?
thanks a bunch for the help
(I have broken in engine already)

bm3,
Make sure that your aren't way too rich, when it shuts down is it just bogging out because its too rich?? Make sure your don't have a bad fuel line and that your engine is getting fuel....Other than that, I don't know.

I've heard similar problems where the recommendation was to check the low-speed mixture. If it's too rich, then your engine gets clogged up with fuel when you're idling and you have to expel this when you open the throttle.
If I remember correctly, the way to test this is to run the car around for a little while, then bring it to a complete stop. If it idles at a decent speed, then slows down, you're too rich.
I'm sure there's a better way to check though, just providing you with what I remember for now
As far as setting your idle goes, take off the whole air filter (not just the foam) and peer into the carb. Keep increasing the idle speed (with the engine shut off!) until there's a 1-1.5mm gap. Remember to open the throttle before making adjustments to your idle speed or you could damage the needles
Hope this helps

Yes, Thank you, this helped alot, but the thing is, when i push the brake or the throttle it dies :/ so i cant use that test method until i find out how to not get it to die :/

You probably need to bring your idle up a touch to keep it running. As far as the low speed needle goes, the general consensus seems to be that it should be level with the carb.
