Default Ebay Jokers

Ok, I was searching for some stuff on ebay and I came across something strange. I want you all to read this and tell me what is wrong with this ad. And someone actually bidded on it, kind of feel sorry for the guy.

Postage to me is $29 and I'm in the same state. So who is going to bid like 10 grand or something just for a laugh?

I'm not sure whats worse, the .99$ body clip with $29 shipping, or the "Hybrid nitro/electric engine" that was for sale on *bay awhile back. Titan electric motor fused with Traxxas 2.5 engine = hybrid electric! 3 or 4 people actually bid on the thing, too. I think the price was up to $300 or something IIRC. Either they were that stupid or just wanted to see what would happen... The things people will try to do these days....[:@]

Whats worse is the guy who bidded on it has 0 feedback, he's new to ebay and probably thought its for the whole car<div>
</div><div>He should read the description before he bidded.</div><div>
</div><div> The new guy will learn the hard way unfortunateley</div>

Some people have to learn the hard way, I guess..

I've bid on a ton of items (not outrageously priced like the body clip) and got outbid in the last seconds of the auction so I have zero "won" auctions, and zero feedback.. Some of the veteran *bayers probably think I'm some dope... oh well. The last item I bid on was a Nitro Rustler roller with junk engine... The bid was at $30 or so when I started bidding on it and over the span of a few days nearing auctions end I got the other person bidding in upwards of $150, and just to see what would happen, I bid $200. In the last seconds of the auction, He outbid me at $220.. $220 for a Nitro Rustler with Pro .15 thats junk, and horribly dirty... I snickered thinking he was the dope... hah..

I only use the 'Bay for buying pure nitro now.. I dont bother bidding on anything anymore.

the screen shots of it smoking are awsome.

That one was way funnier than the 1 body clip ad.

I had it upto 108 mph with this engine in it (while it was in the back of my nissan)...lol

Thats some funny stuff.

a nitro rustler with junk motor going for $220 is totally insane! I bought one early this summer for $40 shipped. It was listed as untested. When I got it the motor was locked up. After a bath in PB blast I had it turning freely. Another hour of cleaning and tuning and the truck was driving around my track. Sold it for $160 on ebay as RTR. And thats a fair price for a good running .15 rustler I think. Even a 2.5 IMO isnt worth much over $200 (if used and in running order)

Prices you can sell a used RC on ebay for fluctuate wildly. I have bought 2 different rustler VXL (with the vxl system, not a cheap BL system) for $150 RTR. But lately, just the VXL systems (used) go for $100-$120. I havent seen any VXL models for under $200 in months. I see rollers for close to what I paid for those 2 RTR rustler VXL's.

Ebay is a funny place. Its full of good deals, as well as bad buys and some buyers who dont know better.

I once found my buddies ad for a rc he was selling. So I bid $500 on it (slash 2wd brushed) He called me up the next day...said he checked the ad and was all pumped for a second, till he saw my ebay user name as the top bidder. So even I have done dumb stuff on ebay for a laugh.

Maybe I should create a new account to bid on the body clip and see where this thing goes.

"Unfortunately, the fastest this engine will go is when I throw it at him..." Atleast he's honest.

I just re-read the screen shots from the Q&A with the seller, and seeing all that beautiful smoke brought tears to my eyes. Its sad that the buyer had to supply their own smoke. Such a shame.

I wonder when they'll release the Picco25T nitric engine. I bet that would be the most powerful nitric engine running on 95% nitro 10s LiPo..
