Onyx motor is 40x74 which is pretty much the standard for 1/8 buggies. The Onyx systems are rebadged Hobbywing so they will take a beating on and off the track lol.
Not all Onyx systems are rebadged HobbyWings. This one is a rebadged Caste combo for example, but yes some are.

that's not an onyx system, that's called element. i wounder who makes their sensored stuff...
Would guess Novatech makes the DE10, which has been a very good ESC for me.

Don't know if you purchased yet, but the Duratrax 835E is really a very good buy. Comes in at $400 RTR. Aluminum everywhere, 17mm hex, shock bots, etc. Check it out. All reviews I have read are very positive.
