Time for something else...

RE: Time for something else...
Man that battery size really makes things hard...
Kyosho laser ZX5, I suspect with battery straps and some clever thinking they might fit
Tamiya TRF 201 XR, might fit???
Do u have a SCT?
AE SC10, or similar converted into a rally car?
Last idea.... Use all 3 for a 9s conversion on a 1/5 scaler?

DO IT!
You said you wanted something different. Don't get yet another truggy or buggy. Get an interesting build. Multi gear transmission. Good looks. Complex.
Fun!

RE: Time for something else...
If I wanted to build a totally ridiculous electric, I'd do it on the same chassis I've built totally ridiculous nitros: RC10GT. Lightweight, tough, handle well. I've got one built as a street fighter with a Picco .21 that turns TRX 2.8" Talons into 7" diameter pizza cutters (not radar checked yet, but I'm thinking 80+ MPH), the other with an OFNA .32, 14T clutch & 48T Losi steel spur, GPM alloy trans case with RRP gears, custom steel 12mm hex drives on rear, custom steel front axles running the 2.8" Talons front and rear , TRX camber links, etc. Very little plastic left, 6.7 Lbs and still wheelies on demand at 30, 40 MPH.
So, if I wanted to do a wicked flashlight, I'd start with that chassis, put RRP gears in a GPM alloy trans, affix the same Losi steel 48T Mod 1 spur to the slipper (with screws all the way through), then mount something like the Mamba Max 2,200 or Tekin T8 2,650 KV and figure out how to put at least an 18T pinion on it.

How about the Axial exo terra kit?
How about the Axial exo terra kit?
Edit: in fact, i'm liking this idea quite a lot. How is the car for motor and battery space?

This is what it\ll probably be then. Anyone got any feedback on the RTR electronics? The motor is a 550 castle design I believe, is the servo any good?

Just ordered the Axial Exo Terra RTR, will find something to do with the electrics if they're bad. Thanks for all the suggestions folks.

Gotta post pics of that beast upon arrival. To be honest, I was hoping you were leaning towards the Kyosho DBV VE 2.0. But I could see the Axial as being better since it is a different design.
