im using a TG1 from tempgun.com and like it.
iv also tested it against temp gauges my dad (an aerospace machinist) had for work and it's damn accurate. i was averaging a 0.5 degree difference.

I use the HPI, again very happy with it. I doubt it offers much extra for the money over the Duratrax Syco linked...

My buddy has this one:

and it's $40.
I've got one like it by O'Donnel. Lately, they seem to disagree on motor temps by 20F. Mine is the older. But battery is fairly new.
Unless you have a third to compare it to, I wonder how to know which one's right?
