Can anyone give me a hand telling my how to install leds in my rc cars and trucks. I am pretty handy and understand things well and believe I have it figured out but would like some input. should I power off of truck or an outside source.

traxxas 1/10 slash 4x4 brushless- dads ride
traxxas 1/10 monster jam son-uva-digger upgrade to brushless- 12 year old daughter
traxxas 1/16 monster jam gravedigger stock in training mode- 3 year old son

it depends on how you are installing LED's using a kit, doing it from scratch, the voltage needed for the LEDs, and how many you are trying to power.

Looks like you have all Traxxas no? The Traxxas ESC has a standard JST style connector on it, in which you can hook up light kits for the Traxxas Summit, or just get 4 LED's with the JST connector. I wanna run 2 blue headlights 3.2v 2 red tails which can be 3.2v or 1.2v but I think I will go with the 3.2 for brightness than 4 small purple 1.7v I believe for the eyes on side of son uva digger.
I want to go a little crazier on my slash.
the 3 year old is getting head lights all ready done

Your best bet for ease of wiring, is to go to Towerhobbies.com, search led lights, and go to Traxxas brand. A lot of lights to choose rom.
