So I got a good deal on a hpi apache. Its pretty worn out as you can see I don't think its been taken good care of. Just wondering what you guys would do to fix it up a bit? It seems like the antenna is cut off and the ESC is just ziptied on. Most of the screws is also a bit rusted.
I plan on taking it apart cleaning it put some new oil in diff, anything else i should do?

Well, I have more than one rc car with the esc zip tied on. And I think that is probably the correct length for the rx antenna, the 2.4 radios have short antennas. But it does look like it was driven hard and put away wet. A good cleaning will certainly improve looks. How does it run, that would dictate what to do to it.

I have a hpi tf 40 that I tryed to bind unsuccesfull. The receiver also makes a loud electronic noise when its on. Don't know if this is normal.
It uses 2 lipo batteries, when I connect the second one it gives of a spark, am I doing something wrong here?
