Default Need help with broken HPI controller

The steering wheel on my HPI controller won't spring back into place anymore making it next to impossible to drive straight and very difficult to turn. Can this be fixed or do I have to buy a new steering wheel for it such as the ones from Integy?

You can repair it.

1. Take off all screws.
2. Unscrew wheel so that the casings come apart.
3. Find where the wheel spring is. If it is broken, take it out. If the plastic hooks are broken, you need to buy a new radio.
4. Go to your local Harbor Freight and buy a spring kit. If you don't have a Harbor Freight near you, measure the spring and punch it into Google.
5. Order spring.
6. Hook spring back on.
7. Reassemble radio.

There yah go!
