Any help to get me up and running would be greatly appreciated!
Hello rcuniverse,
I picked this RC up from a friend a little over a year ago and put it away, until yesterday when I finally decided it was time to let her out. Long story short, I went and got her up and running and decided to take her for a spin today. Well, I broke the axle and I'm in need of identifying the car so I can purchase parts needed to get her back up.
Any and all info that I can obtain from all members here is appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Ohh man. This is an oldie. Not sure what it is, but I do know it is a nitro 1/12 pan car with an SH Racing SA-007 pipe.. Not sure if those servos are original, but if they are, can you take a pic?

So it's not a 1/10th model....? Was looking to purchase a body for it soon and that info just changed the game for me lol. Do you think I'll be able to find parts to fix that axle?

Cool, thanks for the pics. Yeah, that is not a 1/10. Most pan cars are 1/12. For sure, you can find a part somewhere. Its just a game of identifying the model first.
EDIT; Never mind, upon second looking, it could very well be a touring car. It screams something HPI to me, not sure why though.

You just confused me a bit. So it's for sure a 1/10 scale, and could be HPI? Just have to figure out which one and when it was made.
I appreciate the input. I'm one step closer to figuring out what I have!

I recognise that fuel tank from somewhere...quite distinctive with the little lug to lift the lid....but my memory......mmm....maybe Acme...
I will keep thinking and post again if it comes to me......you could also try to post the pictures in a separate section of the forum ....the on-road section ( there is someone there who might know)- http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/rc-road-nitro-cars-242/

I love the Novak stickers on the pipe and fuel tank! Definitely not an HPI or any of the other major brands. Those Phillips head screws scream no name off brand clone, I should know I have a no name roller sitting here with literally the same screws. Sorry it's not the same chassis though I would've sold it to you for shipping if it was.
Have a look at the side of the engine and the markings on it. Sometimes you can search for the engine and see what models or at least brands used that engine, it's how I found a little more info on the one I have.

I just ordered these off amazon hoping to get it up and running again. It's looks similar just hoping they are the same size.
It it seems like this car was a Frankenstein build with parts from all over, so I guess I'll just keep up with it.

Thanks collector! One more thing, do you think it would be possible to use other parts on this car without any major modifications?
Also, will any 1/10 scale bodies fit on this car?

Other than that you can search the internet for a part from another car that looks similar to the part you need and then try to find someone with that other car and get them to measure the part.
Or you can just buy the similar part and make modifications to make it fit if it does not....parts are often a problem for the non brand name cars especially when they get a bit older.
In general 1/10 scale on-road shells are either 190 or 200mm...measure your car to see which you need.
