Default Pull start or bump starter?

So I just came upon a 1/8 scale ofna and I was just curios for some opinions on what people like best pull or bump. Its got the bump starter installed now but I'm thinking about putting the pull starter on. What do you guys prefer? I've had both but this is my first 1/8 scale so not really sure if its gonna be a pain trying to pull since it's a quite bigger motor.

I'd put a pullstart on it if you can. Bump starts are really finicky, use a battery, and take a lot of adjusting. Pullstarts just require you to put in the glow igniter. I also suggest getting one of these handles for it to prevent you from cutting yourself up on the head of the engine.

Thanks for the link. Yes I've seen them around. Pretty handy. I've got a pull starter for it I'll prolly install it this weekend sometime. Its almost new and I'm breaking it in and it wants to die a lot and it sure is a pain to have to get it in and out every time i go to restart. I'll Dec get one of those though. Appreciate it.

Starterboxxes are soo much better then pullstarts that it would be ridiculous to convert a bumpstart to a pullstart............ Bumpstarts are by far the easiest way to start your engine, as well the engines run and tune much better with a sealed backplate.....Pullstarts generally cause leaks in the crankcase and make tuning far more difficult then it needs to be

If your truck can use a bump use it
If you can't use a bump whether small block or big block get electric

Pull starts can become a nuisance especially on bigger engines
