Problems refilling shockoil
Today I was about to change shockoil in my Losi Mini Eight. I started to fill up the shock with oil almost all the way up. After that I pumped up and down with the piston in order to get rid of any airbubbles. After that I screwed on the top and secured it tightly. However after doing this the shockshaft has been pushed all the way out and you can`t push it back in. It is locked. Why is it like this?
Also, after some attempts I was able to push it halfway in but not all the way. What should I do in order to be able to push the shock shaft all the way in?

You have too much oil in the shock. This problem is solved with bleeder caps nowadays on a lot of newer/larger shocks.
With the shock shaft extended, loosen the shock cap (half to full turn) and bleed some of the oil out by pushing the shaft back in. Then tighten the cap back down while keeping the shaft in the shock. There are a couple of way to get the rebound you want. I try to strive for no rebound or very little rebound when rebuilding my shocks.
If you are lucky, there should be instructions in the manual for building your shocks.

I hate shocks without bleeders. The Axial Yeti Aluminum ICON caps don't have bleeder holes?! can you believe that? you spend $18 to replace the plastic with the stronger aluminum and you cant fill them all the way. I was angry about that. Considered drilling my own bleeder into the threads but just left them alone.
