Default Duel 3800 2s lipo run time

I have a redcat 4wd short course truck 1/10th scale. It has 2 3800 7.4 lipo batterys in it. The car weights 3x more than my sc10 truck. Its got aluminum frame big shocks. And dov bones are twice tve size of the sc10.
How long will the batteries last just cruising around on a beach. Half throttle and mybe WOT sometimes. It went dead real fast when i played with it once.
Should it last 40min?
It has a balance charger only. I have a hitec x1 charger. Should i charge batteries with hitek charger?
Would it make any diffrence?

The two battery packs you have in your RC, if you have them hooked up in parallel you will get twice the runtime. But, how long that runtime is, will depend on factors like the ones you have mentioned. Weight, motor, gearing, terrain, and your finger will determine how much you are trying to get out of your gear. Heavy RC; running on beach, and in the sand...I would think that would be very hard on everything, and probably why you say "went dead real fast". You asking to get 40 minutes from two 3800mAh packs...maybe asking too much .

Use any charger you want. I'd just make sure to balance charge LiPo packs every time. If I got good cells that stay close to one another, in terms of voltage, I may just use the Fast Charge Mode and balance my pack every third charge. But in general I always use Balance Charge Mode,'cause I am always rotating my LiPos. Set your charger for 3.8 amps (1C charge rate for your 3800mAh packs) and have at it.
