Default Car issues

I'm new to this site and haven't been running off road buggies that long, only 6 years. I just got a 1/10 scale off road buggy from zd racing. It ran for 5 minutes and stopped. It's brushless. When I hit the throttle you can hear the motor racing but won't go anywhere. Sometimes it will go a little forward or back and just stops with the motor going. Any one know what may be the problem? Any advice or help would be great! Thank you

Larry

I would, like mentioned, check the pinion gear, and see if the set screw has loosened. If so, tighten it snugly...don't go using BRUTE force and strip it out. If it is a reoccurring issue, put some medium thread lock on the set screw and let it cure overnight. And while you are at it, go check the tightness of the screws on entire RC. Any metal to metal contact, it will need the same medium thread lock as mentioned before.

The 1/18 scale RCs from ZD Racing were like any other minis. I couldn't keep enough gears on hand to have a monster truck moving more than 5 packs at a time. The ZD Racing 1/8 scale truggies were built like tanks, except for one little part. In my case, that one little part ended up costing me $$$ almost every time I took the truggy out on the track. Their choice of RTR batteries was awful. But that was then. I can't say I had one of their 1/10 scales, but their 4wd buggy looks on par with the Quantum Vandal, and all it's variants. I like the looks of it. Hopefully the company has regrouped and bettered themselves in hopes of a comeback in the hobby.
