Greetings,
I am new to the car world as I have given up my RC wings.
I would like to purchase an RC car that will be able to go over slightly rough terrain. The terrain will have tree roots, nothing too wild or cracy.
I would also like to strap 14inch pizza boxes to the top of the car.
I would also like to attache a GoPro to the front of the car, and have those connected to my DJI VR goggle.
I want to be able to drive the pizzas so my family who live about 3/4 mile away and navigate using the GoPro and VR Goggles.
Will this be possible to attain? What kind of transmitter would I need? What kind of car? I was looking at the Mercedes G Wagon 1/18th scale.
Any thoughts/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Now, consider your 14" pizza boxes strapped to the roof...
It is an interesting idea but you have quite a few issues to overcome...
Assuming you can find a way to secure the pizza box (maybe a 1:10 scale Hummer with roof rack would be a better starting point), that is just the start of your problems...
1. Transmitter range
2. Battery range of car
3. Mounting the camera
4. Speed of delivery (after 3/4 mile, the pizza will be cold)
5. Overturning / Stability over any type of rough ground with such a top heavy sensitive cargo
6. Security of equipment / cargo / stray animals eating the pizza before delivery
7. Wind load on pizza box
Maybe a drone is the answer?

Hi BlackSeaRC
Thanks so much for the answers.
1. Transmitter range
Right, can this be done and could it be available?
2. Battery range of car
My RC planes could power flight for a pretty long time, so could I use a long lasting battery?
3. Mounting the camera
I know this could be an issue, hence putting out all of my needs before making any purchases.
4. Speed of delivery (after 3/4 mile, the pizza will be cold)
Not concerned about the cold pizza right now. One step at a time.
5. Overturning / Stability over any type of rough ground with such a top heavy sensitive cargo
Yes, this could be a problem so I would have to take it easy. Practice!!!
6. Security of equipment / cargo / stray animals eating the pizza before delivery
Not concerned about this. Equipment will be ok, I think the movement of the car will scare away the animals.
7. Wind load on pizza box
Even being so close to the ground?
You also mentioned about a drone!!! I have tried this actually. Problem is if you do not get the box directly center under the drone, drag from the boxes pulls the drone. Also, with the wind on the boxes, it will move the boxes even more and in turn move the drone more. Maybe I need to hook up the boxes closer to the drone - that's a good thought. I'll try it out again on the drone and see if it works. Drone was my first option - I will continue to look into it.
