Default Getting back into RC.

Been out of the game for a good while. I had electric and Nitro cars. Mainly did planes and mostly giant scale 3D for a while. Don't have time for that. Looking to get some budget electric vehicles to play with which isn't an issue. My biggest inquiry is I want a 1/5 scale gasser, I love the sound. My biggest problem with them is if you want more than about 40mph it costs a ton. Looking for something to bash in the yard. Mainly low grass with some hills and some jumps. Trying to decide between short track, buggy, and truggy. Gotta have 4wd though. Buggy look great but not sure that is what I need. Happened apon the Rovan vehicles that have a lot of compatability with Losi etc. I hate waiting on parts. Looking to stay around under a grand. I can upgrade later. Was looking at the Rovan 360 SLT. Never even saw these so any opinion is appreciated. Any advice is great I'm all ears. Electric is king I just want the sound lol. But don't want something I can't get parts for. I'm even fine with the 6-700 buck ones if I can get parts. I want RTR. If I get addicted again I'll go back to my own electronics and such. Thanks for any help

never heard of Rovan. that makes me doubt they would have good support. i do know the Losi DBXL seems to be the "go to" 1/5 scale for bashers and people new to 1/5 scale. they do cost $1400 though... but they are well supported and do have a healthy aftermarket.
the only other 1/5 i know anything about is the Redcat Rampage MT. it's a monster truck with independent suspension. i think it's about $900. and Redcat does have US support.

I just happened to run up on some YouTube videos of them. Looking for something budget with some support. Wound up going with a 30 degree north vehicle. Got a good deal on it.

I am not into 1/5 cars, but I do know that Rovan is notorious for being a clone manufacturer and highly discouraged from supporting across most discussion groups

Not sure because I never followed the 1/5 cars, but I would watch out with Rovan, they are definitely NOT a reputable company and considered taboo in the industry.
