Default Pipe vs. Temp. question??

Does anybody know if a pipe/manifold setup can directly affect the temp. of the engine in 1/8 buggys?? I know pipe/manifold setups can affect performance, but can or does it affect temp., by allowing better or worse airflow?? I was told it does.......but I need more opinions.....PLEASE!!!!!! Thanks all!!!

Default RE: Pipe vs. Temp. question??

yes, a pipe can DIRECTLY change temps. If you put on a pipe for Bottom end torque.. you temps go WAY up... with different pipes i have seen the temps change by 40 degrees NO JOKE... if anyone has the ritter pipe for there savage... they know what i am talking about.
