I just bought a used HPI Nitro MT from someone who claims that the truck rip's at 60mph. I can not get the thing to stay running![>:] If I'm lucky enough to get it going, it idles rough and won't accept any abrupt throttle. Even with gradual accel., it eventually just die's like someone plugged the exhuast? The guy I bought it from lives at sea level & I'm at 5500ft above sea level - is this the issue? Is there a basic procedure to follow in determining what the scource of the problem is?

I'm definitely not experienced, but I had the same problem with mine for a while. First verify that your glow starter is working properly by taking out your glow plug and pushing it on the starter. It should glow bright orange. If that is ok then inspect your glow plug. Make sure that the wire isn't pushed up in it. If everything is ok there then make sure you nitro isn't old. After you checked these things then I would go onto tuning.
