This entire thread has gotten me thinking about the law of diminishing returns.

It seems to me that the gain of power (if in fact anyone actually realized a gain of output with N2O on a glow engine) would probably be offset by the weight and complexity of the system in the first place.

Much ado about nothing, IMHO.

I am sorry if this thread has died and no one cares, but if you are interested a number of my friends and I in my yester years used to us NOS from wippets recreationally. In order to depressurize the gas we used old fashioned 'soda machines' in fact I still have one, and there are stores around here that still sell spare valves and seals. These would be ideal for such a system. I am new as I said but I have a chemistry degree these days and am very interested in this subject, and I would like to know how you got on, as a NOS system is feasible for short runs.

if nos make your engine run lean for a short time only hows that bad? cus if you racin ur mates an were just behind them it would give u a better chance an its better for your engine than just runing it lean all the time wouldnt it?
