Just purchased Hi tec hs-945mg servo for the tmaxx.
I dont think I can use the stock servo saver to connect to the arm as it seems
it does not grip the gear correctly.
The saver that it comes with has tiny little holes and does not have an extension to connect to.
Do I need to purchase somethng else?
Helppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppp pppppp.

wait, duh, I did not know you can change the buttons on the servo saver.
Hope, I can center this thing out correctly.

Do you need the hitec field programmer to set the left and right end points.
It seems it goes left and right alot further than what my tmaxx can support.
Or is the 5945 suppose to know where to stop.. It get's stuck after a while and then brings itself back
to center.
I feel like maybe it needs a separte power source?
Thanks for your wisdom, please help this newbie out.

Dont waste your money on those cheapy button savers. Get the Unlimited engineering servo saver. High polished aluminum and it is only 60 bucks right now complete. The button servo savers you should really buy for the type of servo you have. But IMO they are no good.

maybe the link from the servo saver (ss) to the steering arm assembly needs to be shortend some? if you shorten it you reduce the amount of travel at the wheels if you lengthen it you increase wich could possibly cause the wheels to "break over" the limit of no automatic return (bind in full turn) too much toe out can also cause this

Raz, I will double check that. I'll scream if I cant fix it.
The servo acts up and tends to jitter a bit before returning to center at times.
I probably need to adjust it correctly.

www.unlimitedengineering.com do a search for servo saver and it will come up. Why would you need a battery? No battery for any servo saver i know of.

Where can i get this for 60?
Do I need an additional battery for it?

Either that you could have some stripped gears in the servo. I would upgrade throttle and steering servo. I did i put a hitec HS-5625MG on the steering and a hitec 645MG on the throttle. You definately want a all metal gaer servo with a real good rate of torque to hold up to the beating it takes. Havent stripped it yet since i installed the servo saver i am talking about. My throttle servo started jittering like that the stock one so i took it apart and only 2 teeth were missing off of 1 gear.

But this thing is brand new, I stripped the gears inside already?
Let me check.
It only jitters when it's trying to go back to center position. If I move the wheel on the remote control a little
it goes away.
I feel like I need to change the arm (plastic stock tmaxx) that it comes with. Let me carefully open up this servo and
check if I stripped anything.

and you do this how? so I would need the programmer for it?
I was told that I did not and it should work.. argh.
Well, I opened it up. It was greasy, yet all gears were perfect in line.
I also cleaned it a bit with a tuner cleaner as suggested on the FAQ.

Oh crap, I just realized my differential is cracked. The part that looks like a T is broken one the the left side.
Not by the wheel but on the bottom that stops the steering from going left to right I believe.
This could have some adverse affect to the servo?
FIne, I will get a new piece, but I dont think it has that much of an adverse affect to the servo.
Perhaps, I need to upgrade the bellcrank and get a smoother one.
Talk about a money pit.
Good thing I enjoy my new hobby.

That aint to bad but you dont need a programmer to program yourt end points just buy a Airtronics MX3 radio it has the function on it along with many others that are usefull it is only about 119 for radio. I have it for my t-maxx and love it it is a computer radio
