Default QUIET NITRO?

Hello,
I am surrounded by neighboors and our track is in our backyard. Is there a muffler system or something out there that will quiet down a nitro car? Are the nitro cars loud stock?

Thanks,
Todd

The amount of noise you make largely depends on what you drive. 1/8 scale buggies are infinitely louder than 1/10 scale stadiums trucks (in most cases). Dynamite makes (or made) a line of quiet pipes that really tone down the exhaust note of RC's. They might be worth a look.

You got that right! My new 1/8 screams! I have a tenth scale buggy with a .18 and it is nothing compared to my 1/8 scale. I drove mine up and down the street a little this morning and it sounds like a dirt bike. My tenth scale can't even be heard inside.

one way you could silence engine noise is the muffler...another way is muffling the intake...believe it or not your intake produces alot of engine noise...what we once did was take 2 intake filters...the black rubber ones that are fitted for the carb on one side and have the larger opening for the sponge, glue them together at the sponge side...this will create a chamber wich the noise will be captured within and the sponge will help as a silencing agent...it wont be super silent but a lot quieter than stock...

just an idea
