Just spreading the word. If you are not machanically inclined DO NOT BUY USED CARS OFF EBAY!!! Foolist am I. I've order not one but three different cars off ebay and I've had to wrench and spend money on all of them just to get them running.(nitro rs4,rc10gt plus, now trinity reflex). Nitro Rs4 came with a picco engine that would spin as free as a bearing. The rc10gt had a broken pullstart with missing $18 pullstart bearing. Trinity Reflex is going to need a lot of work. This guy didn't even try. I bought a Reflex from a ebay hobby business so I thought for sure that it was going to be running today but nope. Everything on this car is loose, it has a few small but important parts missing as well as missing screws, claimed that it came with a receiver, yea a receiver box with wires leading to it, jerk. I didn't get upset because I'm used to it, I just downloaded a Reflex manual grabbed my tools and took it apart piece by piece. Regardless ebay saves you money, but you have to know that most of the cars aren't going to be ready to run.

do not ever buy used things off of ebay unless you are absolutely positive about the condition
pictures do not show everything
i got my buggy, and i even left positive feedback on the guy cus i went out and it ran for 10 min b4 i thought i was doing something wrong
the throttle servo fried
the receiver fried
the starter box wheel fell apart
the battery died ever 10 min
the battery charger false peake everything
the glow plug heater would have to be manually held and the battery charged when outside of heater (thx to mrc superbrain that was possible)
the front steering knuckels had worn down so much that the axels would fall out when turning
the front suspension was missing 7 screws and 3 clips
the diffs were dry
and the list goes on...
just never buy used stuff on ebay - positive feedback doesnt mean much

I have bought 2 nitro's off of Ebay- HPI Nitro MT and the Savage I just got.
No problems whatsoever.
Before that I bought probably 8 vintage electric RC's with no problem.
Ebay is good, you just have to be on your highest level of alert. If I smell
one word or something remotely catching my attention, I will not buy.
Unless it is a low dollar purchase or something new, I won't buy it unless
the member has 100% feedback with at least 10-20 feedback and we
have emailed back and forth and I am comfortable.

If you neg somebody, they can neg you back though. I emailed and told him that who ever put this kit together ruined it. I found more problems. I just got on Tower and spent $46 because he stripped a couple front diff screws so I had to buy a new front diff. All of the universal drives were binding because the locking nut was hanging out. Somehow it had a misdrilled engine mount which caused the engine to eat the the first gear spur. But the car is like new. It came an OS tr, pipe and manifold, trinity battery pack, new thats $279+129.99+30+60+$500. and I got it for $250 so I'm not hurting yet. I ordered it because it was a business with good feedback.

It's buyer beware for sure. LOOK at the feedback, pay with a credit card if possible, if you get burned you some recourse. I bought a new t-maxx off ebay with lots of aluminum parts, it was nice, it was new, it was put togeather with three tubes of RED loctic!!! In over 400 transactions on ebay, about 1% have been a pita, the rest great.

I recently bought a 1:8 buggy of ebay and before I bought it I pretty much gave the guy a full police style interogation through e-mail before I got it. It came with all of the factory option parts that Mugen made to make an MBX4-RR into an XR Works and then some, plus it came with a reciever pack that is awsome (I charged it and it came out to about 8.36v)and a whole buttload of almost brand new tires. the olny bad thing that happened with it was that the Nuova Faor chassis that it came with uses different spacing on the engine mounting holes (they're too close together) than stock and the guy forgot to send em with the car; and the guy is real nice about sending stuff that didn't get shipped instead of being a dick and saying that I lost it. lol.

I recetly bought a nitro RS4 2 off ebay for $100. Haven't had a problem with it at all. You really should look at the persons feed back and ask them if there is anything you should know about the car before buying it. I purchased many used parts to, again no problems. If you are not sure of something then ask!

lol ... I bought a kyosho rs-200 of ebay. It was my first nitro car and my first big mistake
it turned out that the car is 15 years old and was discontinused about 10 years ago. The car is older than me
It took over half a year to get a gear for it.
But..................
I saw the same rs-200 sell on ebay a few months ago and its a collecters item or something now and it sold for over £350.
I bought mine for £70

I'm sure I annoyed the !@#$%^! out of the seller, but if you don't like surprises when it arrives at your door, that's what you gotta do.
