Default Calipers, do you use them?

Just wondering if people around here find calipers useful and what brand to look out for to buy one.

You talking about the measuring tool? I got an inexpensive yet accurate one at Advance Auto Parts for something like 25 bucks. (it was awhile ago, don't remember the exact $$) And yes, I use mine a lot...

Yeah I'm talking about the measuring tool. Didn't know they might be carried at autoparts. The one you got, is it digital?

No, it's dial, and ya probably aren't gonna get a decent dig. one for that price. More like twice that, but if that's what you want, then you oughta get a good one. You'll find yourself using it for a lot of things you hadn't thought of before you got one...

I checked a few out at Amazon and there was one going for 35 that was digital. They went from 35 all the way to 200. The only difference I could really make out was that the 35 one was just slightly less accurate than some of the 50-60 dollar ones. And the really high priced ones had an output to send data to a computer or something like that.

^Think of it as a ruler, just much more accurate.
