the super nitro is designed for any small block engine, however several people have done a .21 conversion. For ease of use, stick with a .18 or smaller, as they will drop right in. The OS Max .15 CV-RX and Fantom FR15 are great choices, as are several other engines.

if you want real speed, i wouldnt go lower than a .15 there is a good priced .18 on tower hobbies(70-80$ US) you might also look into transmissions. im not sure if the super nitro is two speed, if its not then id recommend getting one also look into gearing.

the two speed is a good idea, i forgot about that. Although, keep in mind that engine size rarely has anything to do with performance. Most .12 race engines are far faster than any .16 - .18 on the market.

true nitroaddict just because your making more horsepower in a bigger engine, you still have to compensate for added weight so sometimes it just equals out to being the same or not worth the money.

actually - most of the larger small blocks dont even make as much HP as top end .12 race engines.

so down with only 2 choices, either .12 or .15 ...

what brand of engine I should be looking for?

and can I convert my super Nitro RS4 to 2 speed transmission?

Those are all drop in engines, however, I would recommend these instead - they will produce more power and be MUCH MUCH MUCH more reliable.

drop in engines are engines that you can put in your car without having to get an upgrade plate/kit or mod anything. you can put it in and it will sit just like your old engine.

HPIchuck is correct. Also, the 2speed you want is the one from HPI.
