im thinking about getting a rc car, nitro. its my first one , and i want one that can run in my garden ( i have a big garden ) yet is onroad ( coz i really want high speeds ) i also want it in kit form any ideas ? thanks

also i was wondering if someone could tell me about the engines , ive seen some of them schumacher cars with .21ci engines which ( i think ) is a hell of a lot better than a .12 engine i saw in a different model.

So lets get this straight - u wanna on-road car? Or do u want an off-road car that can go onroad?

if u want an on-road car kit form i would search the net for them. I know very little about nitro on-road. If you would rather have an off-road that could still go on-road well i would recomend a 1/8th scale buggy like a Kyosho Inferno. With a 1/8th buggy u will get between 40-50mph on-road and you can still do big jumps and go on dirt tracks etc. 1/8th buggys also have really good handling compared to monster trucks or stadium trucks!

If you are doing this in the garden, get a buggy or MT. If need smooth paved tarmac for onroad cars.

For those not in the UK - Garden is same as front or back yard or grassy area around the house.

buggys are the best for bashing i think if u still want high top speeds!!! Get a buggy!!

yes! but check what the nearest track near you does. They might not race 4wd off-road. I noticed u live in the UK like i do. There is not many tracks with organised racing. But bashing with a 1/8th buggy is soo much fun u will not be bothered if u canna race!

go to the 1/8th buggy forums for advice on what one to buy. get one that u can get parts for easily (not team losi or x-ray etc.).

Sure. No probs But go to your local model shop to buy your car. They will help u out for free if it breaks (or at least mine does). My inferno was driving and it stopped running. When i went to pull the shell of to start it again the starter cord was hanging out! I took my car to the model shop in Glasgow and the guy there put a new one-way bearing and a new pullstarter in for me. He did not charge me for the bits which were worth over 30 quid but i persuaded him to take a fiver for his work. Great Service from Glasgow Model Shop!!!!

i would suggest getting a Nitro Rustler. you could race on-raod and off. its fast also

yeah but he lives in the UK. UK models shops rarely stock traxxas parts (most have never heard if traxxas other than tht TMAXX). U really need to get a car that u can easily get parts for as they will eventually break!

I agree with the views about getting a buggy. You get the speed like an on-road with the capability of off-road like a truck. It's the best of both worlds. I have had 3 buggies and they are what to get. I have had on-road cars, off-road rally cars, and finally buggies. It were its at! In fact my site has a good deal on a 1/10 scale buggy. Duratrax Nitro Evader BX. There are a couple of options there. Take a look. Just remember also...anything off-road can go on-road, but not always vise versa. Good luck. Hope this helps.
