I purchased a Traxxas Nitro Sport over Ebay. It came with extra glow plugs, glow plug charger, starter module, battery for module and battery charger.
Checked glow plugs and when hooked up they turn orange within a few seconds
Turned on switch at back of vehicle that activates the radio equipment
Added new fuel (purchased at local hobby shop)
Plugged in starter pack.
Pushing starter button the starter cranks the engine (I can feel the exhaust) but is does not start.
Couple of observations
1) There are 4 wires coming from where you connect up the starter module. 2 Go to the start module, 1 goes to ground and 1 (blue) is not hooked up to anything.
2) The engine was completely dry of fuel, is there a way to prime the engine?
3) While running the starter I used the RC transmitter to give it more gas, changed the sound of the cranking, but did not seem to help.
4) Tried replacing glow plug, that did not help.
5) Glow pug power supply has a gage on the top with red and green zones along with some numbers, but the needle never seems to move. It is right on the border between the red and green.
How long should the glow plug be on the car before attempting to start?
How long should the engine be cranked before you would expect it to start?
Is there a way to prime the engine?
Any place I can get a copy of the manual?

cover the exhaust tip with your finger and crank the motor over a few times until you can see gas going into the carb to prime the motor. if you're sure the glow plug is lighting when you turn the motor over then it should start.

The blue wire is used to heat the glow plug. You dont have to use a plug igniter. If you are using a glow igniter, its probably bad. So use the blue wire.
On the end of the blue wire is a tiny spring, it slips over the glow plug in the head.
