the servo for steering seems to turn really slow ... does that mean that they are not strong enough???

plus, is the throttle on the engine pull up for acceleration or pushed down???

Well your servos are probably turning slow because the receiver pack does not have a full charge. And if that is not the case you will need a higher tourque steering servo. But before you invest in that make sure your pack is charged even though a higher torque servo should be one of your next upgrades if you don't already have one.
