Default It is possible?? right??? HELP

ok im gonna put some lunsford turnbuckles in my XXX-T one of these days but i have never figured out how to get the turnbuckle holder (that little plasctic thing) off of the little metal ball?!?!

here a pic to show you whats i mean
i need to get that yellow thing off of the holder in order to take the whole turnbuckle out... ive pulled with all of my strengh but it wont pop off!!! WHAT GIVES... i hope my explanattion isnt too confusing... *sorry the pic quality is crap

You just need a pair of pliers or small channel-locks. If you don't have any with smooth jaws, you'll scuff up the ball cups, so you might want to put a shop cloth in the jaws. Just grip the flat sided area and twist (like you're trying to turn the shaft of the turnbuckle). It'll pop right off. Once you have one end off, you can just pull up on the other end and it'll come loose for ya.

what are channel locks?

thanks for the reply i'll try it... will they still go back on or will they be too stripped (ball cups onto the balll rods)
