Need Help ID'ing a motor

Default Need Help ID'ing a motor

Anyone have any info on this motor or know how I can tell how many turns it is?

Your best bet would be to pull the armature out and see if it's stamped on the wings.

I just tried pulling the arm, motor won't come apart. There are tabs bent in on the sides and I can't pry them up to get the endbell off.

did u try taking it to a hobby shop to see if they can help??

i havent seen one of thouse in a long time. i cant rember how many turns, but it is/was a realy good buggy motor.

i have one somewhere around here that is like it in i belive it was a 20 turn or 23 turn

I was guessing above 14t and basically around a 20t by the ohm-meter readings I took. I figured that might get me close at least. Read pretty close to my 19t race prep.

That is a stock motor. It's the Losi version of the Slot Machine 2. It's 27 turns.

well, i've heard anywhere from 19 to 27t. Thought it would be easier than this!

On the 27t ones, did they use larger wire? It doesn't ohm read anywhere near any of the 27t motors I have, it ohms closer to a 20t than anything.

It most certainly is a 27 turn stock motor.

look thru that hole in the side of the motor and turn the motor till you see a stamped # on the side of the armature. that should be the turn
