Default shocks

Hi everyone,

I have a question concerning shock setup on a Gs Storm Unlimited.
Under acceleration the front wheels tend to balloon a lot causing uncontrollable steering and wants to go out of control.
What can I do to prevent this from happing, is the shock set up on my storm incorrect, centre diff oil to thin?
I ride the truck on very loose gravel and there are a lot of jumps to compete with.
What is the best set up for a track like that, stiffer shocks in front and less in the rear or less in front and stiffer at the rear.

Thanks
Brandon

Default RE: shocks

I would guess that you are unloading your front wheels so much under acceleration that they are loosing grip and spinning.
I would probably try running stiffer springs in the back, and/or putting in a heavier weight shock oil in the rear, this should stop the rear sus from compressing so easily allowing more weight to be kept up front.

the other option would be to try being a little easier on the throttle to get the speed up before you punch it, this shifts less weight to the back of the truck, helping keep the front down.
