Default Advice needed for newbies...

Hello everyone... Well, my folks just sold their two horses, and now they have a 4 acrea chunk of land available for playing with, and my dad wants the four of us (him, my brother, brother in law, and myself) to get some nitro RC trucks/buggies. We've been looking at the Traxxas SportMax 2.5, Rustler Nitro, and T-maxx.

I was just wondering, for people who are at least an hour away from a hobby shop for spare parts, which one do you guys would give the most run time between manditory repairs?

Thanks for any help or advice!

If you don't have any experience driving, you are going to be breaking a lot of parts. Also I wouldn't go with all traxxas products if I were you. If you plan on taking it off jumps and stuff, prepare to break stuff whenever you run it.

We've all driven RC cars before. Not that big of a deal. Not like flying RC's.

Any other recommendations then, other than Traxxas? Preferably less than $350

If you guys are going traxxas. I would go with the REVO. It is $70ish dollars more, but it comes with a high output receiver pack and two chargers. And everything is rubber sealed from the dust. I have found that alone to worth the difference. Make sure you each get a different color as they are matched to the frequency. (All traxxas vehicles.) I would get all the same model so races are even and your parts are all compatable. I would definately go four wheel drive though. Whichever you decide will be fun. Have a great time with your new rc's!

They're not literally unbreakable, they're not even virtually unbreakable. Saying so is misleading.

They do however have a rep for being one of the toughest vehicles around. It wouldn't be a mistake to get one if your parts supply is a long ways away.

LOL Nevermind, guess my dad just went and got a T-maxx. Unfortunately I'm stuck here at school though, and won't be able to go home for a few weeks. So sad.

Anyway, I hope I can make this one last a little longer between repairs than my brothers!

Thanks for the help though!
