Hey guys, I've just bought an old kyosho baja beetle from ebay, and I'm having trouble getting it to run properly.
(in case you can't tell, I'm a complete nitro newbie!)
I can get it to start and turn over, but it cuts out really quick, usually in less than a minute. Using the throttle doesn't make any difference either, it still cuts out.
What do you reckon?

well i am no expert but on the carb. there is either 2 or 3 screws(pins) and you have to turn these. what they do is allow the rpm to be altered. it sounds like you need to open the low speed needle. there is tons of stuff on the net that will tell you how to do it.

first of all, whens the last time it was started?
if its old, fuel may have become gummed up inside the engine which requires a rebuild.
second of all, did you check all the basics? (fuel, battery life in starter, glow plug life?) there is a ton of things to check before you go messing with the needles. if the guy ran it before he sold it to you, odds are its tuned enough to get it started.
if i were you i would take it to a hobby shop and have them get it started to began with. they will know the ins and out of what needs to be checked to get it started with out frying your engine (if it isnt fried already).
