Suport your LHS. Tower is decent for something that your LHS doesn't have.

if your lhs isnt stupid then buy from them, if your lhs is 40miles+ then buy from tower. yes they have really good prices if you order more than one part, because of shipping

The hobby shop in my town will match TH price if I quietly tell them what the price is.

IMO Tower is the best online place for hobby stuff. I use it enough that I joined their "super-saver club", mainly for the free shipping on orders over $150.

I support my lhs most of the time, but if there's a significant difference in prices and they won't come down, I go online. Besides they just can't carry everything.

In my experiences, Tower Hobby has been great. The prices for parts are usually cheaper than my LHS.....only drawback is shipping fees.

My LHS ticked me off, so I now order ALL my parts online.

Towerhobbies is awesome. About a year ago I bought a Bolink Digger 2, 3 motors, an ESC, complete radio gear, paint, 2 bodies, and some Masher 2000's. Get here in under a week and it only cost like $8 s&h. I dont usually like dealing with my LHS because of their ignorance. All of the guys their are addicted to HPI and Traxxas, so when I ask for a XTM part, they got no clue what to get. Example, I asked for some ROD ENDS. The guy searched for like 2 minutes and then handed me the FWD/REV Tranny linkages for X-factors. Then he hurries up and runs over to the guy who just walked in with his Revo. I was thinking.... "What the hell?".

In my opinion, its easier to just order online. Shop around and get EXACTLY what I want for lower prices than my LHS.

I have been rcing for a long time. 100% of the LHS I have been to through those years push product they have in stock. They try to come up with reasons why not to buy what you originally went for. 100% of those local hobby shops have attitudes/big heads, and their knowledge is limited to the little bubble they live in. I can write a book why I dont support the LHS's.

Towers and some other online hobby shops get my money. Its much easier to do business online. You get exaclty what you want with no hassle, and 9 times out of 10 you get it cheaper even with the shipping costs.

I mostly get stuff from towerhobbies. The only time I usually buy stuff from the LHS is if it is somthing small, or fuel. Like I'll be going there soon for an exhaust header, which wouldn't be worth buying online.
You can't usually beat towerhobbies though. I just got a starterbox from them for 20 bucks... should be here any day now.

My LHS is terrible and I use Towers all the time and they give great service and fast shipping! I have been using them for around 5 years. With there specials there prices are very good. Like right now if you spend $200 they knock off $25.
