Looking for CHEAP BUT GOOD RECHARGEABLE AA BATTERYS, RAYOVAC is kinda pricey any suggestions, which one do you use?
Saw some on Ebay I wonder if they are good, I don't want something that will only last a month or less.
Thanks.

I use energizer 2500mah NIHM AA's in my radios, and sometimes for receiver packs.
Theyre about 20 bucks for 8 of them. I go through batts very fast though due to how often I use my RC's so I've probobly already saved money by using them.

I get mine off ebay from onlybatteries.com. I use 2000mah nimh in both RX packs and in my TX. Typically I'll be able to go weeks without having to recharge the TX (but i haven't had many chances to run lately). They do last WAY longer than alkalines.
Picked up 24 of these AA's for $24.99 with $8.95 shipping. Of course that was a while back but you should be able to find a similar deal.

I buy the rayovacs every year. They seem to go up 200mah every year. I use the older ones for other stuff. Consider it an investment, no matter what, you will gain more than you spent. I bought the 8 AA battery charger one. It can do D's and C's and a 9v too.

You can get 20 AA 2000mAh NiMH with soldertabs for $24.95 or 24 AA 2300mAh NiMH normal style for $29.95.
I've used this brand for years in my camera, remotes you name it and I am using them for RC now. Works great in the Tx and I soldered a 6V Rx pack from the normal style 2300mAh and they work great.
The brand is Powerizer. I have only good things to say about them.

The problem I have with my batterys is they are 1.2v instead of 1.5v like regular AA's. They are 2300 energizers and fully charged dont make enough power to turn on my remote!!!!
So I'm out 50dollars on 16batteries and a charger >

Most Rechargeable AA NiMh and NiCd runs 1.2V (This also goes for Sub-C, C and D cells)
A few is advertied as 1.25V, but they are rare.
Which remote do you use, that can't handle 9.6V?

I use rechargeable AA batteries in all of my TX and get great run times out of them. Last me all day of running or more. Some of my batteries are 3 or 4 years old and still working fine.

That's one of the common misconceptions about rechargables. They do have a lower initial voltage but since they have such a high capacity they can hold that voltage level for a LOT longer. If you watch the voltage level of nimh vs. alkalines under the same load you'd see the alkalines drop to a point under the nimh rather quickly.
Many of the radios we use are able to run on 9.6v very well. I have one for my plane that is identical to one I use with a boat(pretty much the same model #). The ONLY difference is the band they use. One is setup for 8 AA and the other uses a 9.6v pack (made up of 8 AA's). Both will run the same amount of time with the same range on rechargables. I did a test once where I used alkalines on the boat and I charged up the pack for the plane. I was done with the alkalines by the end of the day as the range just got too short. The level indicator showed that it was under 70% charge left while the pack was still almost 100%.
Use rechargables. They'll save you money and time and with nimh you can just top them off every once in a while and go run without having to worry.
