hi there i want to lock my diffs on my mt and i want to know if there is an easy way

assuming gear diffs rather than Ball or torsen:

Easy and permanent: Take out your diff, open it up and JB Weld it into one solid lump. put the diff back in.

Slightly harder, but temporary: take out your Diff, open it up and jam as much Silly Putty in the gears as you can fit. put the diff back in.

harder, but less messy: take out your diff, open it up. take one of the spider gears off and then put it back slightly out of line with the other 2/3 gears - this should cause the diff to bind up and not move. put the diff back in.(works on some but not others)

expensive, but easy: see if they make a "spool" for your model buy it, and fit it.

I've also used candle wax melted into the diff cup...

wouldnt the wax crack up and fall out over time?

the truck is a raptor(like a savage). wat is jb weld and can you post the site for me in the uk thanks

sorry ross - forgot you were from the Uk... Epoxy resin, Araldite(sp?)...

a little, but it actually worked pretty decently. as long as the diff is fairly sealed, it has no where to go, so it has to force itself around in the area it is in, which lets it slip just a little bit, but only like 1/4 turn, after a while it got worse, but it was an extremely cheap mod, and VERY removable, whereas JB weld is perminant...
