RE: Traxxas Revo or Cen Fun Factor MT2
For a beginner intro Nitro, the FunFactor should suit you best. For something you can grow into, get the Revo. Its a great basher, great racer, all around great truck. Have fun

i would get the revo, alot of people have them and from what iv'e heard it's a good truck.I don't know alot of people that hve the fun factor, but there aren't alot of hop-ups for them, and iv'e heard bad thing about cen.personally i would get a SAVAGE!!! It's better than all of them, but it's not as fast with the stock motor

I know only of the revo, I've seen the MT2 run, and it's tough. not fast, but tough.
my revo on the other hand (despite my detesting the TRX 2.5) is very quick, very agile, and incredibly fun to bash. I think you'd be happy with both.
however, both come with seriously crappy radios.

Go with the Revo. Cen blows and there huge piles. You should narrow it down between a Savage and a Revo. If that was the case Id say savage, but revo is a close 2nd.

First off, i dont have any hands-on experiance with the FF series, but i've seen them run, and seen them take a few hits that'd make a Savage cry.
second off, good job with your double post[&:]

Whatever.. You have fun with your generic cen. Theres a reason why there dirt cheap. In rc and in life, you get what ya pay for. Cen is a small step up from Smartech, and any REAL Rcer would know that cen sucks. Maybe you should get your hands on a REAL Rc, and not some generic ..., and youll relize what a GOOD rc is all about.

I don't have a CEN, I even said I've never driven one, nor have I had any wheeltime with one.
I suppose my Revo, XXXNT AD2, RC10B2, NTC3, RS4 Pro 3, etc etc etc are all toys r us specials aren't they?

Hey guys which truck would be best for someone who has never run a nitro car and wants either a Revo, Fun Factor MT2, or a Savage SS 4.6.

RE: Traxxas Revo or Cen Fun Factor MT2
those are 3 TOTALLY different trucks.
the Savage is not a beginner's kit.
the Revo is fairly beginner friendly, but for a total n00b i WOULD suggest the FF MT

Savage for big block truck, the only problem i could see with the cen is parts support from your lhs, another small block truck to concider is the HPI MT2, it has better support available. If you lack driving experience, go with a small block truck, slower and easier to cotrol. The Revo can be upgraded to a big block as well.

A team CEN drive went into a 1/10 MT race...with a bonestock MT2...it came out second. I totally support CEN. The FF series have a few SMALL weakpoints, but are extremely durable. Stock they have aluminum towers, aluminum upper chassis, and 3mm aluminum lower chassis. They also have a .16 engine...and push 45+ stock. Slap an OS. 18 CVRX (like most FF MT2 owners do, including myself), and your pushing 50...but you get there a lot faster! CEN is not a POS brand. Infact, they are up there with HPI and such in my mind. Do some research and stop making false accusations about the quality of CEN kits.
