I have an old Team associated electric buggy that im thinking of putting a engine into. I cant see any reason why i wouildnt be able to do this but if there is please tell me. Also i want to know of any cheap preatty fast engines also reliebilty is a must. Im not looking to spend very much money on thsi i jsut want to have some fun with it.

you want to put a nitro engine in it? not going to happen without spending way more then its worth, completely different design requirements.
