Some do and some dont, I always use after run oil, help prevent rust and longer lasting life, if you want to use after run oil then switch to a diffrent fuel, I use Trinity and sometimes Traxxas Top Fuel

with a couple exceptions for certain engines, after run oil certainly won't hurt, so go ahead and use it.

The jury is still out on WD-40 as after run oil. Play it safe and use the right stuff. It's fairly cheap since you only use a few drops, it lasts a long time.

Being the fuel we run is very hygroscopic I defiantly would use after run oil! Very cheap insurance! Most all engine manufactures say not to use WD40. The only one that says to use it is Traxxas but are they telling you what is best or are they trying to sell more engines?
